Sometimes, a guy just needs a helping hand.
The boy pictured here is named Ruger. Unfortunately, sometime in June 2023, his family moved away and left him behind with only the neighbor to care for him. I was contacted by the landlord when they found out because the neighbor moved and was unable to care for him anymore. After three long, extremely hot weeks in the Texas summer, I was able to transport Ruger across country to his foster dad and place him into the expert care of a breed specific rescue. I worried every day that I would be one day too late and the heat would get to him. I could see him deteriorating each time I visited. The immense relief that I had when I finally removed him and drove in my air conditioned van to meet a friend who would complete his transport was so great that I broke down and cried. Although I am always planning my next breeding, at this time there is no definite time table. I am always taking names on my wait list and can notify interested families when I confirm that I am expecing puppies.
