Hugs was the puppy with the X's and hearts on her ribbon, hence the nickname Hugs. When she became our keeper puppy from the Mollie X McGee litter, we couldn't bring ourselves to change her name and Hugs stuck. The name suits her. There is no more snuggly companion than Hugs and her heart is eternally sweet. That's not to say that she doesn't have a goofy side. Sometimes, I think she swallowed the Energizer Bunny!
Hugs showed incredible promise from her first day in the show ring. She cranked right through her Ch points and became an AKC Champion easily at 11 months of age. She was poised to do the same thing with her GCh title when she was the target of a rare attack at a dog show by another mastiff. Since then, she has struggled with having enough confidence to show well in the ring. Now, Hugs spends her time being the best snuggle buddy in the house.
